Fall Colours, No bugs, epic dirt and more ridiculously beautiful look-outs than you can shake a stick at….only a handful of reasons why fall riding is as good as it gets in Barry’s Bay. Its arguably the best time to ride in the Madawaska Valley.

FALL-OVR is now in year 3 and for good reason! The trails are amazing, the views are breathtaking and as always, the riders that show up are a solid bunch of guys and gals, so naturally FALL-OVR 3 will continue that tradition.

Also back again this year is the “Best Lookout Competition” which, this year, is being sponsored by Triple Clamp Moto, one of Canada’s top sources for high quality, precision-engineered enhancements for dualsport, adventure and offroad motorcycles as well as parts, apparel, tires and more! Triple Clamp Moto is also the Fall OVR3 title sponsor. So huge thanks to Triple Clamp Moto for stepping up and supporting Fall OVR.

Unlike our OVR event in the Spring, Fall OVR features an expansive main track that will connect all of the best look outs in the area…of which there are many! Combine this with the fall colours and we are talking one serious photo op! Get your camera’s ready and be sure to submit them for the “Best Lookout Competition”!

But we hear you out there…. “will it be as gnarly as OVR??” The answer is Yes and No. The main track will be a little less gnarly than normal so that those less inclined to hit it hard may partake. That said, we will never leave our hardcore brothers and sisters hanging and will have plenty of the rough stuff in the form of option sections and/or loops.

After a solid day of riding to the top of the world and snapping epic fall colour panoramas with your best buddies, everyone will retire to their water front cabin or Rv site at Sunny Hill and enjoy fire side sunsets off the first order!

Sounds terrible, we know…;)

FALL-OVR is not a race! It is an adventure and trail ride of the first order, designed to give participants a chance to experience the spectacular trail networks and fall colour vistas the Ottawa Valley is known for.

Routes: Our routes for FALL-OVR will mainly consist of Adventure bike and Enduro friendly tracks and trails that will link up all of the best look outs in the area.

Enduro: Like our spring time OVR event, participants with at least a novice level of riding experience and well above that will fair best. However, most of the tough sections will be optional sections which participants can choose to by-pass if they wish. Conversely, beginners/newcomers to off road riding will find the Optional Enduro route extremely challenging and we do not recommend riding these optional sections.

Adventure: What would the Fall season be without adventure? For those on the bigger adv bikes we have also put together a higher mileage route that will incorporate many of the same amazing lookouts as our enduro route. Participants should also be experienced, but less experienced riders should also fair well. Although not as technical as the Enduro route, some sections on this route may prove more of a challenge for less experienced riders on the bigger bikes and will likely require some amount of team work to successfully negotiate these bits. As mentioned, Miles are expected to be higher, with road connections between hydro cuts, ATV trails and dirt roads.

You will need to be part of a team (minimum of 2 people). This is for safety reasons – A team provides a safety net for you and your teammates to rely on in case of injuries and/or mechanical issues. You will be provided with the GPS tracks for each days ride.  It is not mandatory for you to follow these tracks, but it is part of the challenge and as such, a big part of the fun. We also provide you with 2 nights accommodation at Sunny Hill Resort in Barry’s Bay… a great spot, owned and operated by great people! Check them out here: www.sunnyhillresort.com

Bike requirements:

The Enduro route is intended for small to mid-size bikes. 300 2 strokes are ideal. 250’s and 200’s will also fair well, 450’s and bigger 650 class bikes will struggle on some technical sections.

The Adventure route is intended for medium to large sized 4T bikes. This route will be less technical but longer in distance.

Both Blue and Green plates are welcome, however, bikes must be insured and plated properly, riders must be fully licensed and Green plated bikes are limited to the Enduro route only. Noise levels will be observed (94db max).  As trail sections may be joined using roadways and highways, all green plated participants are expected to observe the rules and keep on the shoulder at the legal speed for green plated vehicles. Lighting kits are  highly recommended for green plated bikes.  All bikes must be very off road capable and have aggressive off road knobby tires. Anything short of this will not only make things unnecessarily difficult, but could potentially be unsafe on some trails.  Every team must have at least one (1) first aid kit and one (1) tool kit with extra tubes/patch kit. Cell numbers for each team must be submitted to OVR staff upon registration.
